22nd June – 12th July 2009
This three week residency scheme was organised by Newcastle based artist Carole Luby to give artists a space and a chance to envisage and begin new art projects.
During my time on the residency I used the environment around me to influence and inspire my work. Interested in the growth and natural cycle of the plants, weeds, berries and fruit growing in the allotment I created a body of photographic work that explored the relationship between those things that I had dug up, picked or collected against the instability of the human body.
